Manor Park Community Garden

The pearly queen of Upton Park Christine Prosser officially opening Manor park community garden

The new community garden in Manor Park (next to the postal sorting office) is the result of hard work and good organisation by the local neighbourhood. It was opened on July 7th, the day after the Forest Gate Festival.

Leading organiser Mike said "Manor Park Community Garden was set up in 2012 on a vacant site next to the sorting office near Manor Park station by a group of local residents united by a love of gardening and a desire to bring local people together. 2013 is our first growing season and we are growing mostly vegetables and some flowers. Please pop in and visit us - we are usually open Saturday mornings".

The gallery of pictures below captures the warmth and good feeling the new garden has fostered.
